Hello everyone and welcome to Ashwell & Co!
For those of you who have been following our journey, you’ll know that for the past seven years we’ve been operating as Heartfelt Vintage. However, after making it through the toughest 18 months of our careers we decided it was time for a change.
We have always been a family business, but when the pandemic forced us into lockdown it was that aspect of our business that allowed us to keep going. Living in a single household meant we could continue to work together making, packing and delivering afternoon teas across Bristol during the darkest months of lockdown.
So, after years of talking about putting our names on our business this felt like the right time to do it. We are determined to keep moving forward despite the challenges small businesses continue to face. Ashwell & Co feels like an opportunity to breathe new life into our business and to explore new avenues.
All the aspects of Heartfelt Vintage that you know and love and that we have worked so hard to build are still very much an integral part of Ashwell & Co, they’re not going anywhere, but the new identity feels like it gives us more opportunity to grow and explore.
If the pandemic has taught us anything it is to let go of fear and just bloody do it! That doesn’t mean that we’re not going to have anymore sleepless nights, but it does mean that we’re not going to sit around wondering ‘what if?’. We could never have predicted having to keep our business afloat during a pandemic. It has tested every aspect of our resilience, patience and mental wellbeing, but we are still here!
Thank you to all our customers, supporters and cheerleaders who have helped us to get to this point. We literally couldn’t have done it without you. When we set up this business in 2014 we could only have dreamed about being here 7 years later.
Keep your eyes peeled for our re-launch party which will take place in the next few weeks (there will be free cake!). In the meantime, take care and stay safe.
